Project Manager Job Description:

The Project Managers (PM’s) are responsible for all facets of project execution including, direction and coordination of all trades and management and administration of the assigned project and subcontractors. In this key leadership position, the PM must promote a proactive work environment, while overseeing vessel construction. The PM will be based in Salisbury, MD. The PM must be highly motivated and enter the position with a working knowledge of the construction process through a minimum of 10 years experience.

Naval Architect/Marine Engineer Job Description:

The design office provides engineering and technical support for the company’s new build program and fleet operations. The naval architect or marine engineer will join our design team and undertake challenging design projects from conceptual design to detailed practical design and commissioning. Utilizing sound engineering practices, the architect will be required to develop technical analysis and design of hull structure scantlings, structural support systems and arrangements of all classes of commercial vessels. The position requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of regulatory bodies and the ability to work in a team environment.

Requirements for Entry Level Naval Architect/Marine Engineer:

Recent graduate with Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Naval architecture or Marine Engineering)
Have excellent written, oral, and multi-tasking communication skills
Be computer literate and familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products
Familiarity with RHINO and MaxSurf a plus

Requirements for experienced Naval Architect/Marine Engineer:

Masters or Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Naval architecture or Marine Engineering)
Have a thorough understanding of vessel structural design, stability, structural fire protection, powering and arrangements or systems experience in areas such as piping, HVAC, shafting, hydraulics and electrical installations.
Have a minimum of 5 years in ship design or construction experience, including practical knowledge of shipyard construction methods and details.
Have excellent written, oral, and multi-tasking communication skills
Be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products
Familiarity with RHINO and MaxSurf a plus
Working knowledge of regulatory body requirements such as USCG, Lloyds and ABS.
